What do I need to get started?

A simple PC Encoding software (NetroMedia will send you links to download this software) Method of connecting your live feed to the PC Reliable Internet connection NetroMedia streaming account. Second Life account

How does streaming TO Second Life work?

The encoding software will be installed on the PC, which will then become your live streaming encoder.  The live feed or broadcast will be connected to this PC through a audio/video card generally installed in the PC.

This encoding software will then "convert" (encode) your live signal to be sent out to Second Life through the NetroMedia streaming platform.

How does streaming FROM Second Life work?

The encoding software uses a screen capture function to broadcast everything that happens in Second Life through your NetroMedia stream.
